Geophysicists and other petroleum experts attending the annual Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) conference in San Antonio on September 18–21, 2011 will have the opportunity to see a significantly updated version of the visualization software, CoViz 4D by Dynamic Graphics, Inc. (DGI), that promises to help them make more effective decisions from the wide variety of data collected across an oilfield.
Version 5.0 of CoViz 4D incorporates quantitative analysis into the visualization functionality of CoViz 4D. With CoViz 4D 5.0, geophysicists and reservoir engineers can quantitatively compare their 4D seismic with their reservoir simulations and allied temporal data. Additional quantitative tools include: property back-interpolation, attribute averaging⁄extractions, time difference calculations, and instant volumetrics.
