Multiple Color Keys in CoViz

Did you know that when multiple files are loaded into the CoViz Viewer, it is possible to display multiple color keys? By right clicking on the existing color key in the Viewer window and selecting New, a duplicate color key is added, just off to the side of the original color key. To change the new color key″s file association, highlight the name of the desired file in the Viewer menu File Selection panel, and the color key in the Viewer window will automatically change to represent that file (rotate the Viewer a bit to see the change take place). The location of the new color key in the Viewer window can be changed as well. Move your mouse over the color key and when the pointer⁄hand changes to a crosshair symbol, the key is selected and can be dragged to the desired location using the left mouse button.

For each of the new color keys, be sure to lock the colors by right clicking on the color key and selecting Lock Colors. This assures that the color key will remain associated with the chosen file, regardless of the filename highlighted in the Viewer menu File Selection panel. This simple process can be repeated to add several different color keys, each associated with a different file.
