Software Developer, Geologic Modeling & Mapping
We are searching for an extraordinary software developer who will work and thrive in a small team developing applications related to 3D visualization, modeling, and analysis for the earth sciences.
Requirements:
- Excellent C++ programming skills required
- Database application programming required
- STL and Boost experience highly desirable
- Experience working on Windows and⁄or Unix⁄Linux platforms
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent, preferably with some background in the earth sciences (geology, geophysics, etc.)
- Strong mathematics background
- Good communication⁄personal interaction skills
The position involves developing mathematical algorithms for modeling geology, extensive usage and design of intuitive graphical user interfaces (wxWidgets), the ability to program on either Windows or Linux platforms, and the ability to interface to and utilize C++ classes in our own suite of libraries.
