Annotation Draping in the 3D Viewer
One
of the 3D Viewer's many capabilities includes draped annotation viewing.
Annotation draping allows you to quickly place cultural (or other) information
directly on top of any 2D or 3D zone surface of a 3D model or a 2D surface
in the 3D Viewer. For those of you who have done image draping in the
3D Viewer, draped annotation works in much the same way except that no
control point picking or registration is required. The annotation file
is assumed to share the same coordinates as the 3D model. The annotation
file is automatically converted to a 512 x 512 pixel RGB image file with
the empty areas transparent.
